Defenders of Wildlife


Established in 1947, Defenders of Wildlife is a nonprofit conservation organization dedicated to the protection of native wild animals and plants in their natural communities. Long known for our leadership on species and ecosystem protection, Defenders advocates new approaches to wildlife conservation that will help keep species from becoming endangered. With 475,000 members and 480,000 e-activists, Defenders is headquartered in Washington, D.C. and has field staff across the country.
